Scott is a licensed professional counselor with broad experience offering mental health services in community agencies, private practice,  and residential settings. He works with individuals (age 14+), couples, and families, and has a specialty in  marriage and family therapy.

Scott utilizes a narrative approach to therapy because he believes it is essential to incorporate our clients’ experiences and perspectives as we support them in telling a healing story. His approach includes interventions from diverse modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally-focused therapy and systems-based therapies.  He helps people with a variety of concerns including:

Interpersonal/relationship conflict

Divorce

Marital Difficulties

Family dynamic struggles

Parenting

Emotional Intelligence

Emotional, Verbal, and Physical Abuse

Grief/Loss

Chronic Illness

The therapeutic relationship is an important aspect of the therapeutic process. Scott understands that it can be intimidating and sometimes difficult to seek help, so when individuals, couples or families do so, he wants them to feel that they are being supported and commended for their bravery. He wants clients to feel comfortable and his sole purpose is to help them achieve their goals.

Communication issues

Depression

Anxiety

Trauma

Stress

Work Stress/Dissatisfaction

Life Transitions

Self-esteem
