Cristina is a Licensed Professional Counselor with multiple years experience working with children, parents, and families using an ecosystemic approach to treatment. This means that Cristina views an individual client within the context of a larger system, and utilizes interventions that are effective within this greater context. Within a family, this includes looking at family structure and improving interactions between family members. Cristina is passionate about family-based therapy and has spent years honing various techniques that are also effective when working with individuals, couples, co-parents, and families.
Cristina also has experience working with survivors of crime and trauma via the use of trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy (TF-CBT). She believes that in order for healing to happen, and for growth to occur, people need to feel connected to others in a healthy way. Almost anything is possible when an individual feels heard, seen, and loved.
